Anyhoo, the gal next to Daniel is Red. She was mentioned in passing a long while ago. She and Daniel dated for a long while. They had a not-so-friendly breakup, but did manage to work things out (in part due to their other bandmates threatening to leave if they couldn't quit sniping at each other) and are pretty good friends these days. She's actually better friends with Stephen.
